What is Tufting?
Tufting is a technique that has been used for centuries to create intricate patterns and textures on various materials, from fabrics to rugs. The most common techniques include hand-tufting and machine tufting. The tufts are then secured by tying knots or using an adhesive. Hand-tufting allows for intricate detailing and customization, as each tuft is individually placed. Once the tufting is complete, the final touches are applied to perfect the piece. This can include trimming excess threads, steaming or ironing to achieve a smooth finish, and adding any additional adornments such as decorative piping or buttons.
About the Owner!
My name is Khadijah and I am from San Diego, CA. I moved to Jacksonville, FL in 2017 and have loved it ever since! I have always been a fan of crafting, since I was a young child. As I became older, I found myself buying every type of crafting machine you can think of. I would make things every day for family, friends, or even my kids' school. It wasn't until 2020 that I stumbled across a video like nothing I had seen before: a guy making a rug in his living room. At that moment, I knew I had to try it.
I began my search and before I knew it, I was making rugs for friends and family overnight. After making so many rugs for friends and family I decided to take my craft to the city of Jacksonville, where I quickly found out that people actually liked my work and wanted to try it themselves. Lo and behold, Tuft Lyfe and Queen K Essentials LLC were born.

Tuft Lyfe is owned and operated by Queen K Essentials LLC. Tuft Lyfe has been in business since February 2023, with our 1st location opening in September 2023. We are a family-based company owned and operated by Khadijah Curry. Here at Tuft Lyfe, we strive to create fun memories for everyone. We offer an experience like no other that will leave you wanting to do it again. So bring your family and friends and come experience the wonder of making your own rug!
